Easter is just around the corner, but many children in Ukraine won’t be decorating eggs, won’t be receiving gifts and won’t even be going to church for the Holy Day service. Many of them have not seen their fathers for months, have lost their homes, and have forgotten what it means to live a normal life.

A group of amazing volunteers in Kharkiv decided to put a smile back on their faces for the holiday. Olga with a team from a local charity Development and Social Justice for Ukraine will be delivering Pascha bread cake and other Easter desserts to over 300 children in de-occupied territories (Izyum, Vovchansk, Balakliya) and in Kharkiv pediatric rehabilitation center Right to Choose. Vlas will be organizing an Easter fest at an orphanage in Chervonyi Kut village, bringing presents and aid to the orphans and relocated families in the area.

Our volunteer Mark Lieber will be travelling from Arizona to Ukraine for the third time to personally support our ground partners in these projects. He will also be delivering special recognition awards to all the volunteers in Ukraine that have been working with us since the beginning of the war.
